In the latest release, we made changes to enhance the app's usability including adding the GPS and Tracking features to the map view controls.
- Importing maps, and importing & exporting map features is simplified with the addition of support for cloud storage solutions (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, Box, Other third-party applications installed on the device)
- Support for magnetic declination and magnetic north
- Basic navigation showing distance to, bearing and ETA to the destination
App Pro users can export custom symbol names as attributes in Shapefiles and discover pre-packaged, professional symbol sets available from Avenza.
Avenza Maps App v3.4 provides direct support for point symbology, including a built-in collection of US National Park Service recreational symbols. All users can package their own PNG symbols as KMZ files, import and use them in the app. Also, Avenza Pro users are now able to import and manage readily available collections of industry specific sets of symbols, such as EMSINA All Hazards or NWCG GSTOP symbol sets. These symbol sets can be downloaded directly from the Avenza Support Centre.
